A NOTICE FROM OUR FRIENDS AT WENDY’S SUBWAY:

Wendy’s Subway is currently accepting new members.

Wendy’s Subway is a non-profit independent library and collaborative space for artists and writers in Brooklyn. In the two years since its founding, Wendy’s is home to over 30 members: poets, novelists, visual artists, performers, critics, and journalists. In the past year alone, Wendy’s has hosted a variety of free workshops and reading groups; over thirty readings, screenings, and book launches; introduced a publication-in-residence program; and begun ongoing collaborations with other organizations in New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City. We house a non-circulating library of over 2,000 books and periodicals with a special focus on poetry, art, theory, and philosophy.

Wendy’s Subway members have full access to the space and its library, as well as the opportunity to program, plan, and take part in public events and workshops. For the next 2 months, memberships are offered for a discounted fee of $100/month (with no setup fee). A 3-month package is also available for $250 (with no setup fee). 

As of January 1st, Wendy’s Subway will be relocating from its current space at 722 Metropolitan Avenue to our new location at 379 Bushwick Avenue.
